Despite the pandemic lockdown, and with a sizzlin’ summer, BBQ & alfresco eating will be even bigger, again!

BBQ has now become a major summer lifestyle trend and really big business, worth in excess of £1.65+ billion pa, with over 137 million BBQ occasions being held in 2019. (Mintel/Kantar Worldpanel/Trade estimates).

Last summer was OK in parts, although not really the sunniest, but at least  there were a whole host of sporting activities. This summer, life will be different as although, hopefully the April sunshine will continue into the summer, it’s more than probable that, as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we’ll still all be in some form of lock-down and social-distancing will still be with us!

So, with the current ‘stay-at-home’ rules, what better excuse do you need, if you’re lucky enough to have a garden, then to get outside, enjoy life alfresco and have a Barbi So if you’re interested in BBQ, or want to find out how you can get involved in this year’s 24th National BBQ Week, or maybe you’d just like to tell us what you’ll be getting up to on the Barbi front this year – whatever, simply…

The BBQ market is sizzling!

There’s no stopping the growth of BBQ’ing with chillin’ at home being ever more popular and with the market reaching £1.65 billion in 2019 and hitting £2 billion by 2021! (NBQA/Mintel/Kantar/Trade estimates)
