BBQ has now become a major summer lifestyle trend and really big business, worth in excess of £1.75+ billion pa, with over 65 million BBQ occasions being held in 2023.
The Lockdown last prompted millions to go for grill, certainly helped by good weather in 2021 and ’22, both with a whole host of sporting activities. Despite a damp Spring, this summer, the weather looks set to be pretty good with ‘heatwaves’ being predicted and of course we’ve got major sporting events such as the Wimbledon, the Tour de France, the Summer innternational Rugby tours and of course the Olympics in France. Plus they’ll be the usual Summer Music Festivals with another Glastonbury. So lots to enjoy.
So, if you’re interested in BBQ, or want to find out how you can get involved this year or in next year’s 29th National BBQ Week, or maybe you’d just like to tell us what you’ll be getting up to on the Barbi front.
